Subject: A true story of today!
I have wondered should I spare the everyone... the funny outing Harold and I had
today or have you laughing with with us? I as a Christian, was
thanking the LOrd looking up in the sky standing in pouring rain
at the mall for getting me out of our trucks back seat tonight!
ok...how this story took place...well, Harold my husband decided to something really nice for me...and go to Home Depot to get us a new cabinet and sink...to put in our Bath room because the ole one is wore out!
So we had a quiet even, first, working on letters for Christmas to send up north...ect.
When he asked me to go...I was ready to get out as I am in this house so much...as you all know from me emailing you...
well, lets just say it was quite a ride to get this sink and cabinet...
Harold, jolly and happy to help his wife...and wife gone to look for Christmas oraments and found a lovely dress at Ross for you ladies that like shopping...for a Christmas outfit...Sales!
well, when I came out of the last store I came out to pouring rain...and we haven't had any for awhile...
So, I braved it across to find Harold to show him my findings when he came out about that time with the cart filled with all the fixings for cabinet and sink...We have a truck that... ok...we are just finding out more and more...about how to load things, turn the knobs, you know make it work...he went to get it in the pouring rain...to be nice to keep me out of the rain!
well, I should have...now get this (prayed before trying) and thinking...
well, Harold opened up the truck to our exstended cab back seat which is very small as you may know in these trucks...one of my friends calls it Hi Ho...or Ole Silver...our truck that is...
He tried to put that big box of cabinet and sink in the back it would not go... so it wouldn't get wet, I mean we waited till now and it pours and I shall really thank the Lord every time I wash my hands...
Well, it wouldn't go! so I was trying to be helpful...
and said ok...let me get in the back which I never have done since we
got it this year...ut oh...so he helped heave me up...that was not an
easy task...
So here I am sitting in the back seat and watching this man that I
care about try to put this big box in the front seat!
My goodness...it wouldn't go! So ok, he gave up!
well, here comes the funny part ... He raises the seat to
get me out...(which remember we aren't used to this
truck with all it's toys and whistles on it from our
adorable son-in-law...we love him dearly! ) we don't get
the toys and whistles we just buy a good car to last...but this
time we got it from our daughter and were blessed with it all...
I can't just get out like normal people...and the back seat
it is too cramped back there for a 50 year old to get into...and I am
not 18 anymore... speaking for myself...
So bless his little heart (Harold)...he is trying to get me out...without
making a scene around the Home Depot...store...as there were lights
on in the pick-up place...
and eveyone around...could have been eyeballing us...
and my right foot made it out ... but nothing else could get out...
I huffed and I puffed to make it out...no way...but let me tell
you there was a way...I just didn't think!
So, here we are the seat hitting Harold in the head, ...poor
guy...he thought I was clicking the button and it was
popping him in the head...I didn't touch nuthton...I was
innocent! So bless his heart I said honey it is the seat...
finally we got into hysterical laughter because I couldn't
get out... I finally decided to
Well, he covered the box up with a coat hoping it wouldn't get
wet...and said looking back at me ... would you like to go anywhere
else...well, yes I would to the book store to look for a good Christian
book and have some praying time by now...you would have needed
to have seen this movie...the angels upstairs had to be laughing with
us ...ok....Harold comes up with a plan to get me to Borders...
he says I will park off from everyone and try to get you out in the
parking lot...only said the guard might come by...by then I didn't
care...it was so hilariously funny how I got back there anyways...so I
just said ok...he can help you get me out if he does...but thank the
good Lord...no one was there...at first same thing...couldn't get
out...Harold getting soaked with rain...then I got this thought...raise
up toward the ceiling and go which more like (charge) towards
Harold...and he was able to catch me and put me down...and this is
my story for the night of looking up at that point " Thanking
the Lord in Pouring rain for getting me out of there outloud, didn't
care what people thought...hehehhe" Am I
thank-ful for Thanksgiving yes, and the beginning of the Christmas
Holiday ...yes...Amen!
Moral of this story ... Pray before you Leap! LOL in Christ!
